About Teri Nakamura, MPT, ATC, CPI, CYI
Teri is passionate about empowering women over 50 on how to live a healthy, active and pain-free life. She is the founder of The CORE Performance Center in Los Angeles, California, where she provides a holistic approach to treating pain that includes addressing the body, mind and spirit. She is a healer who specializes in discovering and addressing the CORE issues of pain and poor movement, and provides just the right regimen that works with each person’s unique personality, skills and strengths. She believes that the body always has the answer; we just have to listen.
Teri is a licensed Physical Therapist, Certified Athletic Trainer, Certified Pilates Instructor and Certified Yoga Instructor. She has worked with professional and college athletes, celebrities, and everyone in between from youngsters to 99 year-olds. Teri co-founded an innovative and effective manual therapy technique called Soft Tissue Alignment and Restructuring Technique (S.T.A.R.T.), and has taught classes to physical therapists, massage therapists, chiropractor, acupuncturists and personal trainers.
Having a passion for learning and a holistic approach to healing, Teri has also completed certifications in Kundalini yoga and energetic healing, Z-Health Neurological Training, the BioSET Nutrition System and Marisa Peer's Rapid Transformation Therapy.
